Oven sweet and sour beef

We are having this recipe for diner tonight and let me tell you, the house sure smells good!

2 tablespoon of oil
2lb of cubed beef
2 onions, sliced
1 can of tomato soup
1 can (28oz) of tomatoes
4 sticks of celery, sliced
3 carrots, sliced
1 green pepper, cubed
4-5 mushrooms, sliced
salt and pepper
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1 teaspoon ginger
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Preheat oven to 350*. Heaat oil in a pan, brown beef cubes for a few minutes. Put into a casserole dish. Add remaining ingredients to the casserole. Cover and cook for about 3 hours.

With this, I am making parmesan roasted potatoes:

Wash and brush potatoes. Cut into cube. In a bag, mix together olive oil, garlic salt, pepper and parseman. Throw some potatoes into it and mix well. Put the potatoes on a cookie sheet and cook in the oven, at 350*.

Anti-procrastination Day

Not that long ago, I used to do an anti-procrastination project every Wednesday. I had a love/hate relationship with this, as I loved to get something done that I had been putting off but hated it because I actually HAD to get it done, kwim? lol

Anyway, this week, my project was to get the nursery back in order so I could finish the floor and hang the decorations. So far, I am more than half-way done. I am taking a break right now since Mathieu is sleeping. But, just knowing that it will be done before bedtime tonight makes me feel bot5h proud and happy. And relieved.

Why did I chose that project for this week? Well, I was up nursing my precious baby boy most of the night last night and just looking around the nursery made me feel really lazy. I like to have things in order and the nursery was certainly NOT.

I hope to be able to share a few pictures in a few days.

I have a new digital camera!

Yep, bought myself a Canon Rebel XT. I am very happy about it. I got to try it out for two weeks before deciding to buy it. I have two lens with it but I realise I need a few more things, like a cleaning kit, a flash, a carry case and more. I guess I am going to have to do a little shopping on E-Bay today, lol.
